Sant’Agata
One maker. Eleven violins a year. Every thickness judged by hand.
Sant’Agata translates a single-maker Cremonese violin bottega into a digital system governed by seasoned wood, plate graduation, provenance, and commission by letter.
The premise
The instrument begins where measurement becomes judgment.
The site follows the bench rather than a catalogue: workshop, maker, graduation, register, bench, and commission.
A varnish-dark field, ivory type, and amber measurement marks keep every interface subordinate to material, hand, and the instrument taking shape.

Thickness becomes interface.
A plate-graduation map makes tenths of a millimeter legible without pretending that measurement replaces the maker’s ear.
