The weather decides the day.
Larès turns a twelve-bed Dolomite refuge into a responsive service system where altitude, weather, local material, and a guardian’s judgment determine how the house receives its guests.
The premise
A refuge should answer the mountain, not abstract it.
Forecast and elevation are not atmospheric decoration. They change which routes open, which rooms warm first, and what the kitchen can prepare.
The digital experience makes those dependencies legible while preserving the calm and certainty expected from a refuge above the tree line.

Conditions alter routes, room readiness, and service recommendations instead of sitting apart as a passive weather widget.
02 · Material is altitude
One tree climbs this high.
Local larch, loden wool, and drystone connect the interface to what can actually endure at 2,410 meters.
03 · Hospitality is readiness
The stove is lit before arrival.
Capacity, dinner, warmth, and the guardian’s local knowledge are treated as one operating model.
