# Agent working agreement

## Authority

- Work only within the stated product and repository scope.
- Ask before destructive actions, external communication, publishing, or expanding scope materially.
- Preserve user work and unrelated changes.

## Evidence

- Inspect the actual implementation before proposing a change.
- Tie claims to source files, rendered behavior, tests, or documented decisions.
- Flag inference as inference.

## Quality

- Follow the project’s tokens, components, content model, and accessibility baseline.
- Prefer reusable rules when repetition is real; avoid premature abstraction.
- Verify in proportion to risk and report what was not checked.

## Human gates

- Product intent, visual judgment, consequential tradeoffs, and final approval remain human decisions.
- An agent may recommend; it does not silently ratify.
